Thanks Barry, I read the book years ago, and it's one of those books that I've owned 3 or 4 copies of. You buy one, lend it to a friend/musician/student...and never get it back! Thanks Again. Mike Terranova -Time to go get another copy.

Greetings Barry, Longtime noseem. Susan Bruckner called about your workshop in Sept at Cabrillo. I'll be sure to spread the word among my students and colleagues. She also that you drooled on her about the possiblity of playing a concert here. (just kidding) I am wondering if you are available on Sunday, February 22 for a gig or possibly Friday, Feb 20? What would you have in mind? Would you consider playing with a Jazz pianist, like Jessica Williams? (just a thought). And finally, what would the lowest fee be that you would consider? I am looking forward to seeing you again and, of course, your workshop on the 27th. Cheers, John Orlando

Hi Barry, Just wanted to let you know how inspiring your article was to me in this month's Bass Player magazine. It really made me feel good and you definitely have a unique persective in terms of finding excellence that I so agree with. I'm a firm believer in the better you are as a person the better you will be in anything, including making music. Thanks so much for shedding light on this subject via your article! Best to you, Matt (bass player for Shirley Temple of Doom, NYC)

Douglas Adams said: The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

Barry, I'm still having a little trouble email-ing you! But I am persistant and will try again! It was so good to spend time with you in SanAntonio at TMEA. Chris was thrilled that you sat in his rehearsal.. The concert was amazing. I hope to see you again soon, and again, let me know what I can do to help out at the SF Bass Camp. More later, hugs, and kisses, Constance

Hi Barry!!!!! Have been e-ing Jane lately and she said that you had written a new book. That the boys are great, and that Adam is in the DC area with one of the AF bands. I think of you often, and the long run we took that fall day in Cincy. I am doing great, and Kim and I have 2 lovely boys, one on parole, and working toward the same, (just kidding). Just thought I'd drop a line since this is the only E-mail address I have, and sorry if it interferes with company side of your life. Take care, and maybe we can hear from you at some point. How are your parents? Happy late Hannuka. Sincerely, Lightfoot
