Bass Method Under Construction! Barry is currently working on his third method book, a 4 book series with noted jazz bassist Jeff Neighbor called the Jazz/Classic Bass Method. Scheduled for release in early 1999 by GIA Publications, this book teaches the young bassist from the beginning to intermediate level and includes duets and exercises from classical, folk, jazz, blues, funk, rock, latin and popular music. An CD recording of the music allows the student to play either part. This method naturally progresses to the Rabbath technique and uses the same position system and the left hand concepts.
