What To Bring:
Basses, bows, stools, (standing position will be encouraged) portable music stand, rock stop, solo music, hiking shoes, jogging shoes, solo and ensemble music, piano accompaniments, cassette recorders will be permitted but no video taping, incidental $ for tourist activites.
Plan to arrive for check in at Holy Names College between 10:00-11:00a.m. Sunday July 5th. Leave basses in Heafy Hall (follow signs) and proceed with your parents, friends, guests to the cafeteria area where you will see a box lunch service for the Sky Room on the walkway between Heafy and the dorms. Since there is no school meal service on this July 4th holiday weekend, we will be able to use the lunch room but we are bringing in lunch and dinner. If you are on the meal plan and staying in the residence halls, your meals are included. If you are a commuter, guest or parent/friend dropping off a student for GGBC, you are invited to purchase a box lunch and join the bass community for our free opening concert in the Sky Room-cafeteria facility. The free concert will include solo and ensemble performances from staff, students and faculty and begin at 1:00 p.m. There may also be a raffle at the opening concert.
Participants are encouraged to invite family members and friends the Faculty Concert Thursday July 9 at 8:00p.m. (admission $15) and the concluding concert on Sunday July 12th at 3:00p.m. (Free) both in the VCPA.
